Since 1944, The HON Company has been a recognized force in the furniture business.

Incorporated on January 6, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa by brothers-in-law C. Maxwell Stanley and Clement T. Hanson, in addition to H. Wood Miller, the company was founded with the purpose of providing employment for veterans returning home from World War II.

Initially upon its creation, The HON Company got into the production of kitchen cabinets. It wasn’t until the early 1950’s that HON would begin selling office furniture and supplies.
